Parenting a Child with Learning Issues

Raising children can be challenging. There are so many components to being a good parent making every day a possible struggle.

When you have a student who has a learning disability, more emotional weight gets piled on top of the parenting plate. A great number of students do not learn in a traditional way. But, because teachers tend to teach to the average student, the students who don't learn in a traditional way get lost in the shuffle.

After working with parents privately for 13 years, it's been pretty easy to see that they do not want their kid(s) to fall through the cracks.

It really does take a village to raise children, and when you have a child with a learning challenge, you really want a bigger team.

This is where I feel I am very skilled. I absolutely love working with students who have learning challenges and I have been trained in some great programs like Lindamood-Bell Lips and the Barton Program.

Being able to be a part of a team with the parents and the child to help educate students is a really big passion of mine.

If you do need any educational support for your child please give me a call because I would be happy to be a part of your team.
